Job Overview

The Culinary Team Associate plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our guests while collaborating with fellow team members to create a welcoming atmosphere. This position involves supporting various operational areas within the restaurant, including Guest Service, Food Preparation, and Production. The Culinary Team Associate will undergo comprehensive training to master the responsibilities associated with their role, embodying the core values of Chicken Salad Chick.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide each guest with an outstanding experience that fosters lasting memories, greeting them warmly upon arrival.
  • Assist and collaborate with team members to enhance overall service efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in line with Chicken Salad Chick standards.
  • Ensure the quality, safety, and presentation of all food products and ingredients.
  • Complete assigned tasks with diligence and in accordance with company standards.
  • Restock supplies and ingredients before concluding shifts.
  • Adhere to the company's uniform and grooming policies.
  • Participate in scheduled team meetings and contribute suggestions for improvement.
  • Promptly report any issues, such as equipment malfunctions or supply shortages, to a supervisor.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age requirement of 16 years.

Experience and Education

  • Previous experience in the restaurant or retail sector is advantageous.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Capability to stand and maintain mobility throughout the workday, including bending and stooping.
  • Ability to perform all tasks at designated stations within the kitchen or service area.

Team Leadership Role

The Team Leader assists in managing the restaurant's operations, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service while fostering a motivating work environment for team members. Responsibilities include overseeing Guest Service and Shift Management.

Essential Duties

  • Support the management team in daily restaurant operations while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards as per corporate policies.
  • Supervise adherence to Chicken Salad Chick procedures in all areas of the restaurant.
  • Train and mentor team members during shifts.
  • Deliver the highest level of hospitality and service to guests consistently.
  • Provide coaching to team members as necessary during shifts.
  • Maintain accurate personnel records and schedules.
  • Prepare and manage administrative and financial documentation as directed.
  • Ensure promotional materials and specials are presented according to company standards.
  • Maintain operational hours during shifts.
  • Enforce safety and sanitation protocols in compliance with regulations.
  • Make operational decisions regarding team member assignments and shift management.

Required Skills and Abilities
