Position Overview:

This full-time role involves a commitment of 40 hours per week, typically from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with a hybrid work model requiring onsite presence 2-3 days per week.


Role Summary:

The Grants Management Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the pre-award processes, including the planning, organization, preparation, assembly, and submission of research grant applications to various funding bodies, both public and private, as well as industry partners. Additionally, this role encompasses the post-award management of research grants and sponsored projects, including clinical trials.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist investigators in identifying and developing suitable grant opportunities.
  2. Collaborate with Principal Investigators (PIs) and team members on grant development tasks; maintain communication with funding agency representatives and conduct thorough funding opportunity research.
  3. Ensure compliance with regulatory, funding agency, and institutional policies by interacting with investigators and administrative personnel.
  4. Engage effectively with leadership, staff, principal investigators, study teams, hospital personnel, and external organizations.
  5. Work alongside financial and billing coordinators to ensure adherence to all aspects of financial management related to studies.
  6. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:
1. Strong understanding of complex medical principles and appropriate medical terminology is essential.
2. Preferred experience working across various organizational levels.
3. Familiarity with healthcare revenue cycles is advantageous.
4. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) or equivalent software is required, along with experience in grant/financial/study management reporting tools.


Education and Experience:

Educational Background:
1. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or business is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

Experience:
1. A minimum of two years of experience in grants and sponsored research within a healthcare or academic environment is required.
2. Experience in research grant management, budgeting, and accounting is essential.
3. Ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently.
4. Strong interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written), problem-solving, and accounting skills are necessary.
5. Proven ability to manage and report on the administrative and financial aspects of research grants and contracts at various stages of development and execution.
