Job Summary

The Grants and Fundraising Specialist position at Access Inc is a critical role in supporting the organization's development and fundraising goals. This position is responsible for identifying and securing funding opportunities, writing compelling grant proposals, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet and exceed fundraising goals
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and grant-making organizations
  • Write and submit grant proposals and funding applications to foundations, trusts, and government agencies
  • Maintain grant award and reporting database, ensuring timely and consistent entry of donor information
  • Assist in event planning, promotion, and execution, including securing sponsors and vendors, coordinating invitations, and processing event revenue
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, volunteers, and community partners
  • Stay up-to-date on grant funding policies, regulations, and procedures, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of grant writing experience, preferably for nonprofits
  • Office support skills, basic computer skills, and proficiency in Microsoft suite applications
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid Driver's License, proof of liability insurance, and reliable personal transportation
  • Proven track record of generating donations and funds from a variety of sources
  • Experience with successful grant proposals and reports, and ability to collect and analyze information and devise statistical analyses and reports
