We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team at Serene Gardens of Hartland as an Activity Director. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team to create a engaging and inclusive environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Resident Engagement Director and residents to plan, coordinate, and lead a wide range of social and recreational activities that cater to diverse interests and abilities.
  • Plan and execute off-campus trips for residents, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
  • Arrange transportation to events and programs as needed, utilizing community resources or in-house transportation.
  • Coordinate the Sedgebrook Community Garden Club, working closely with ground crews to provide a thriving gardening experience for residents.
  • Develop and disseminate information about events, programs, and activities through various channels.
  • Assist with procurement of necessary supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Conduct orientations for new residents, serving as a resource person and providing support as needed.
  • Monitor resident concerns and alert social services staff accordingly.
  • Assume responsibility for planning and coordinating activities in the absence of the Resident Engagement Director.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree and two years of experience in geriatrics, recreation, or social administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team to set up events and activities.
