Job Title: Activity Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Activity Director to join our team at Serene Gardens of Hartland. As an Activity Director, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading a wide range of social and recreational activities for our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Resident Engagement Director and residents to plan and coordinate activities that promote socialization and engagement.
  • Plan and coordinate off-campus trips for residents, and attend many of the trips.
  • Assist in arranging transportation to events and programs as needed.
  • Coordinate the Sedgebrook Community Garden Club and work with ground crews to ensure a successful gardening experience for residents.
  • Create and distribute information about events, programs, and activities.
  • Assist with purchasing supplies and materials as needed.
  • Conduct orientations for new residents and serve as a resource person for residents.
  • Alert social services staff to any concerns regarding residents.
  • Plan and coordinate activities in the absence of the Resident Engagement Director.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree and two years of experience in geriatrics, recreation, or social administration.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic.
  • Ability to work with others to set up events and activities.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and assist residents with physical activities.
