Client Support Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Support Coordinator to enhance our services in the community. In this position, you will oversee a diverse caseload of over 25 clients, providing essential assistance to individuals facing homelessness and those affected by domestic violence. Your role will include connecting clients with necessary resources, advocating for their rights, and guiding them through the challenges they encounter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a caseload of 25+ clients, ensuring tailored support and guidance for each individual.
- Advocate for clients by coordinating with various social service organizations, housing authorities, legal aid, and healthcare providers.
- Assist clients in obtaining critical resources, including housing, employment opportunities, healthcare, and legal support.
- Collaborate closely with victims of domestic violence to create and implement safety strategies, ensuring both immediate and long-term protection.
- Provide urgent support and crisis intervention as necessary, particularly in cases of domestic violence or housing crises.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of client interactions, services rendered, and progress towards their objectives.
- Work in partnership with local organizations, shelters, and service providers to guarantee comprehensive support for clients.
- Engage in community outreach to foster relationships with potential clients and partner organizations.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related discipline is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in case management, social services, or a related field, ideally with homeless populations and survivors of domestic violence.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the resources and services available for homeless individuals and domestic violence victims is essential.
Compensation: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
