The Healthcare Unit Coordinator and Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in supporting the nursing team by managing administrative tasks and providing essential patient care services. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the nursing unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately collects and documents patient data in a timely manner.
- Identifies changes in patient conditions and communicates them promptly.
- Adheres to the care plan and suggests modifications to address the evolving needs of patients.
- Delivers care tailored to the individual needs and comfort of patients.
- Engages in shift reports to collaboratively address patient requirements.
- Maintains precise records of data collection, tasks completed, and patient responses.
- Immediately reports any abnormal findings to the nursing staff.
- Conducts blood glucose monitoring and informs nursing personnel of results.
- Monitors patients receiving blood transfusions and those on fall precautions.
- Executes interventions within the scope of practice, including vital signs, dressing changes, and assistance with daily living activities.
- Applies and manages telemetry equipment as necessary.
- Assists in preparing patients for medical procedures.
- Facilitates patient transport within the facility.
- Demonstrates understanding of various patient care scenarios.
- Maintains an accurate inventory of supplies for the unit.
- Utilizes communication systems effectively.
- Reports any issues to the Clinical Supervisor or Manager.
- Ensures confidentiality of patient records.
- Enters patient transfers and discharges into the system promptly.
- Maintains organized charting standards.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
