Job Title: Comptroller Systems Analyst VI

We are seeking a highly skilled Comptroller Systems Analyst VI to join our team in the Fiscal Management – CAPPS Staff Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and analysis of functional and system requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide CAPPS Production core system support to State of Texas agency users of CAPPS Financials (PeopleSoft 9.2)
  • Provide system expertise and functional support throughout the application development and application change processes, including duties associated with integration between CAPPS Financials and other CPA systems
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of software development life cycle methodology, software change control processes, and structured query language
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and analyze resources needed and actions to be taken to ensure division needs are met with a quality product
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to convey information and encourage an exchange of ideas
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree
  • At least six years of experience with process or systems analysis work in any one or combination of the following: general ledger/commitment control, purchasing/e-procurement, accounts payable, billing/accounts receivable, inventory, asset management, project costing, customer contracts, grant accounting, or planning and budgeting
  • Two years of experience working with PeopleSoft FSCM Purchasing module
  • One year of experience working with PeopleSoft version 9.2 or higher
  • Experience writing Functional Design Documents
  • Experience participating in ERP initiatives
  • Experience supporting ERP systems in a production environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Communications, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Management Information Systems
  • Preferred experience developing requirements, analyzing, designing, developing, testing, and implementing components of one or more of the Comptroller's statewide financial systems
  • Experience working with Texas state government processes, policies, and procedures
  • Experience creating training curricula, conducting training classes, and evaluating training classes or programs
