Job Title: Comptroller - Safe Deposit Box Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Comptroller - Safe Deposit Box Analyst to join our team at the Comptroller's Office. As a key member of our Unclaimed Property Division, you will be responsible for inventorying, assessing, and appraising the values of items received from safe deposit boxes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory and catalog safe deposit box contents
  • Assess and appraise the values of items, including jewelry, precious metals, and collectibles
  • Prepare items for auction and assist in performing oversight for tangible valuations
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Three years' experience in inventory/asset management, cataloging contents, identifying/evaluating valuables, and preparing for appraisal
  • One year experience responding to phone and email inquiries from customers
Preferred Experience:
  • Unclaimed property experience in the public sector or at a banking institution or brokerage firm
  • Coordinating periodic auctions of a variety of items
  • Experience performing oversight/final approval for tangible valuations
