Overview:


The Cadmus Group's Strategy and Transformation Team is seeking a Strategic Communications Consultant to design and implement comprehensive communication and change management strategies aimed at facilitating technology adoption within a major federal agency.

This role will encompass the development of multi-channel strategies and tactics, maximizing communication opportunities and fostering collaboration across divisions to ensure impactful messaging.

Additionally, you will collaborate with the client leadership team to create executive briefings and reports that effectively summarize program status, implementation progress, and successful adoption strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic communication and change management plans for large-scale technology deployment initiatives.
  • Engage regularly with clients to understand their objectives, needs, and to cultivate collaborative partnerships.
  • Design and deliver solutions that reinforce the organization's core mission and strategy, enhance team accountability, and minimize redundant efforts.
  • Plan, initiate, and oversee communications related to information technology (IT) projects.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Create detailed executive reporting materials, primarily using PowerPoint, to track goal achievement, identify gaps, and propose solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Proactively manage time and work requirements to maintain high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 14 years of professional experience in writing, editing, researching, and developing strategic communication plans tailored to diverse audiences (a Master's degree may substitute for four years of experience).
  • Familiarity with corporate communications, including the development of talking points and executive reports.
  • Experience in defining goals and strategies to enhance the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of communications and outreach efforts.
  • Background in consulting, with government consulting experience considered a plus.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale marketing or change communication initiatives.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing both strategic tasks (developing strategic plans, briefing client executives) and tactical tasks (preparing PowerPoint presentations, documenting meeting outcomes).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) with the ability to create compelling, relevant, and data-driven documents.
