About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Manager to join our Transportation Operations Management (TOM) division at Amazon. As a key member of our Strategic Yard Design team, you will play a critical role in transforming how Amazon builds and operates its trailer yards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of complex, cross-functional test fit reviews, template development, and site drawing reviews to ensure compliance with Amazon Yard Design Standards.
  • Own the full lifecycle of design change requests, influencing network improvements in safety, operations, sustainability, and future technology.
  • Collaborate with business line stakeholders, central design teams, pre-construction, and real estate to drive adoption and adherence of critical yard design standards.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive repository of pre-construction development data, providing insights and feedback to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, solve ambiguous problems, and communicate program status and insights to business customers and leadership.
About the Team

The Strategic Yard Design Team is comprised of four core strategic functions: long-term capacity planning, new business integration, site-specific design, and yard design execution. As a Senior Program Manager, you will work closely with teams in Global Realty Design, Network Pre-Construction, Design and Construction, Global Road Safety, Workplace Health & Safety, and TOM Field teams to drive meaningful change.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
  • Experience with at least two disciplines within the construction industry, such as General Contracting, Owner's Representation, Commercial Development, or Engineering & Design.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or a related technical or quantitative field.
  • Demonstrated success in communicating project requirements to various audiences.
  • Experience in program management of concurrent projects.
