Sous Chef Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Self Opportunity, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX. As a key member of our culinary team, you will work closely with the General Manager and Executive Chef to develop high-quality food, manage kitchen staff, and contribute to the growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage all food entering and leaving the kitchen, including preparation, cooking, plating, and temperature control.
  • Train kitchen staff on proper cooking and food handling techniques, create staff schedules, and order food supplies and kitchen equipment.
  • Inventory food products, identify solutions to staff conflicts, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Culinary degree with 4+ years of kitchen management or sous chef experience in high-profile restaurants, hotels, or resorts.
  • Experience working in scratch kitchens and high-volume environments.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills with staff and customers.
