Job Title: Administrative Assistant to Obstetric Anesthesia Division

Columbia University is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide support to the Obstetric Anesthesia Division in the Department of Anesthesiology.

Job Summary:

This is a part-time position (0.5 FTE) responsible for providing administrative support to the Obstetric Anesthesia Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing calendars, correspondence, and projects, as well as providing administrative support to the Division's faculty and residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage calendars and correspondence for the Division's faculty and residents
  • Coordinate projects, including weekly coordination between Pharmacy, Biomed, Materials Management, Anesthesia Tech, and Procurement
  • Assist with OR efficiency processes and standardization of practices between CHONY and Allen
  • Coordinate vacation and meeting requests, reimbursement processes, and monthly Division meetings
  • Provide administrative support to the Division's faculty and residents, including creating daily and on-call schedules, coordinating travel and interviews, and maintaining databases
  • Coordinate with SIM to schedule study-related participation and supply administrative support for education and scholarly activities
  • Upload educational materials on Divisional websites and C8.Health
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
