Engineering Process Intern

As an intern at Sensata Technologies, you will have the opportunity to engage in a significant technical project within one of our engineering teams. Throughout your internship, you will receive constructive feedback from colleagues and supervisors, collaborate with fellow interns, and participate in various educational sessions such as Lunch and Learn presentations and training workshops. Our internship program is inclusive across all US locations and aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the engineering profession at Sensata.

Internship assignments are tailored each year based on the current needs of the business. While specific project details will be shared before your start date, all assignments will be technical in nature and will require a solid grasp of engineering fundamentals.

Potential Responsibilities as a Process Engineering Intern:
  • Taking full responsibility for product design and development initiatives.
  • Conducting design verification on original and derivative concepts through analytical and experimental approaches.
  • Managing product documentation, including drawings and specifications.
  • Preparing, testing, and troubleshooting prototypes, with a focus on hands-on assignments.
Successful Candidates Will:
  • Utilize core engineering principles to address complex and novel challenges.
  • Communicate intricate information clearly and effectively to peers, managers, and clients.
  • Demonstrate initiative and innovative thinking.
  • Navigate obstacles with determination to achieve objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively within teams, contributing as both a colleague and a leader.
Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a B.S., M.Eng., or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is not a requirement for this position; however, appropriate work authorizations will be necessary.
