About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Sales Professional to join our team at Abnormal Security. In this key role, you will be responsible for selling our innovative security solutions to State/Local Government and K-12 Education (SLED) accounts within your defined territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell Abnormal Security solutions to enterprise SLED customers in your territory, consistently exceeding new annual recurring revenue quota through effective sales strategies and execution.
  • Actively prospect for new opportunities, nurture existing leads, and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting and generating new business to closing deals and expanding customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure timely renewals and identify up-sell opportunities to drive continued growth.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Sales Engineering, Product, and Marketing, to influence internal priorities and support your pipeline.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • 4+ years of direct sales experience in cybersecurity solutions, specifically targeting State/Local Government and K-12 organizations in-region.
  • 2+ years of experience working for top companies selling complex solutions to CISOs and security personnel.
  • A proven track record of exceeding sales quotas, driving revenue growth, and acquiring new logos.
  • Experience selling in a defined region, within cybersecurity with CISO references.
  • The ability to reside in one of the following states: KS, IA, NE, MO, IL.

Compensation Package

We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $120,000, plus a bonus structure tied to performance metrics.
