Job Title: Exchange Systems Engineer

Position Overview:

The Exchange Systems Engineer will be responsible for the administration and management of extensive Exchange environments and messaging systems. This role requires a strong understanding of various technologies including MS Active Sync, Active Directory, IIS, and clustering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee large-scale deployments of Exchange and messaging systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide configuration, support, and administration for Exchange versions 2010 through 2019, alongside Active Directory and Windows Server environments.
  • Diagnose technical issues and develop effective solutions using established methodologies.
  • Deliver on-site technical support for Microsoft Exchange across various platforms.
  • Proactively monitor system alerts and respond to incidents to maintain system integrity.
  • Utilize ticketing systems to track and manage incidents effectively.
  • Conduct routine server diagnostics and manage system backups to ensure data security.
  • Manage Exchange message queues and resolve delivery issues, documenting findings in operational logs.
  • Create and manage user accounts and mailboxes, including performing mailbox migrations and restorations.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects efficiently.
  • Engage in the development and management of information systems to support complex business processes.
  • Leverage relational database systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively within diverse teams to foster positive working relationships.
  • Develop and maintain applications on the Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power BI, to support business automation.
  • Contribute to the development of Office Automation Processes within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements using Microsoft tools.
  • Support the development of SharePoint solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Create comprehensive documentation, including flowcharts and design diagrams, for production items.
  • Independently manage complex tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Engage directly with end users to resolve technical issues and provide support.
  • Adhere to established policies and guidelines, ensuring compliance with IT best practices.
  • Collaborate with global partners to maintain knowledge of Microsoft 365 capabilities.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Active Directory, DNS, and network routing.
  • Experience managing database availability groups (DAG) and resolving Exchange server database issues.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and operations.
  • Preferred educational background includes a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications such as MCSE, ITIL, or CCNA are advantageous but not mandatory.
