Position Overview:
The Exchange Systems Engineer will be responsible for overseeing extensive deployments of Exchange environments and messaging frameworks. This role involves a deep understanding of various technologies and the ability to provide effective solutions to technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer large-scale Exchange environments, including mobile device management through MS Active Sync, Active Directory, IIS, and spam/anti-virus solutions.
- Provide configuration, support, and administration for Exchange versions 2010 through 2019, alongside Windows Server and SQL technologies.
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues, employing existing tools and methodologies to devise effective solutions.
- Deliver on-site technical support for Microsoft Exchange across various versions and cloud-based solutions.
- Proactively monitor Microsoft SCOM alerts to mitigate potential incidents and maintain system integrity.
- Utilize the Altiris Ticketing System to track and manage incidents, ensuring effective problem resolution.
- Conduct routine server diagnostics, monitor performance, and manage system backups and failovers.
- Oversee Exchange message queues, addressing non-delivery issues and maintaining operational logs.
- Create and manage user accounts and mailboxes, including performing mailbox migrations and restorations.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrate excellent time management and interpersonal abilities.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Possess significant experience in developing or managing information systems that support complex business processes.
- Utilize relational database systems effectively and maintain positive working relationships within diverse teams.
- Develop and maintain applications on the Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power BI, while exploring emerging technologies.
- Contribute to the development of Office Automation Processes within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem to enhance business efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies using Microsoft tools and technologies.
- Support the development of SharePoint solutions and documentation for business communications.
- Work independently on complex tasks with minimal supervision, while engaging with end users to resolve issues.
- Adhere to established policies and guidelines, including technical standards and security protocols.
- Collaborate with global partners to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the M365 tenant and its functionalities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, and network routing.
- Experience managing DAG replication networks and resolving Exchange server databases.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and operations.
- Relevant educational background or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related fields.
- Preferred certifications include II, IAT, MCSE, ITIL, MS, CCNA, CE, O365, IAM, MCSA.
