What You Will Be Doing as a General Manager
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of property managers, ensuring they meet established performance metrics.
  • Design and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and maximize revenue.
  • Collaborate with marketing, compliance, and leasing teams to ensure effective property marketing and optimal occupancy rates.
  • Develop and oversee budgets for each property, ensuring expense control and achievement of revenue goals.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to guarantee maintenance standards are upheld.
  • Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Compensation Overview
  • Annual salary range of $95,000 - $115,000 (commensurate with experience).
  • Eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.
Qualifications We Seek
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in multifamily portfolio management is required.
  • 2 years of experience with HUD Section 8, LIHTC, and/or other affordable housing programs is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in budget development and management.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws relevant to the Multifamily Housing Industry and Employment Law, including Fair Housing, ADA & ADAA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Landlord Tenant Laws.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
  • Capability to leverage technology & software for reporting, marketing materials, performance tracking, trend analysis, market conditions, and opportunity forecasting. Highly adaptable to new programs and their applications.
