Grief Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our Care Team at After Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support and care to individuals and families navigating the funeral and cremation process.
Key Responsibilities- Provide empathetic and professional support to families via phone and text, addressing their questions and concerns regarding our services.
- Work closely with our Care Coordinators and Funeral Directors to ensure timely completion of arrangements and permits.
- Finalize and fulfill final arrangements, ensuring all necessary documents are created, sent, and signed.
- De-escalate calls and provide support to families in grief, demonstrating a high level of emotional intelligence and compassion.
- Stay up-to-date on state laws applicable to the funeral and cremation processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless communication and efficient task management.
- 1+ years of experience in customer service, preferably in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Strong background in goal-oriented and task-driven work, with excellent time management skills.
- Ability to build trust with individuals quickly, demonstrating exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- High stress tolerance and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and improve in a rapidly growing startup environment.
- Previous experience in the funeral industry is encouraged but not required.
