Healthcare Customer Support Specialist - Full Time

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to acquire knowledge and experience in medical billing and insurance procedures. You will be utilizing a medical software system to address patient billing inquiries while ensuring HIPAA confidentiality is maintained.

The Patient Services department operates in a dynamic environment that manages all patient billing issues. As a Healthcare Customer Support Specialist, you will have the chance to make a daily impact and assist others in comprehending their medical bills and payment options.

No prior billing experience is required. We are committed to training the right candidate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Responding to incoming phone inquiries
  • Welcoming and assisting walk-in patients with billing inquiries
  • Managing patient financial accounts
  • Processing and sending billing record requests
  • Updating patient demographic information
  • Actively listening to patients to address their needs

QUALIFICATIONS OF A HEALTHCARE CUSTOMER SUPPORT SPECIALIST

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong work ethic
  • Critical thinking abilities
  • Team-oriented
  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred but not mandatory.

This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
