Lead IT Support Specialist

Avery Products Corporation's IT Service Desk serves as the primary hub for all technology-related incidents and service inquiries. We are seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer who will be tasked with addressing support requests while ensuring customer satisfaction. In this dynamic role, you will provide assistance via phone, email, or in-person interactions. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks including help desk support, server upkeep, core networking, system design, implementation testing, and development.

Your Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute comprehensive technical activities, guiding the direction of projects and providing technical expertise.
- Investigate and resolve issues utilizing established troubleshooting methodologies.
- Manage support cases to ensure rapid resolution that surpasses customer expectations.
- Utilize the central document repository to promote knowledge sharing within the team and implement best practices.
- Support and take ownership of various ad-hoc projects.
- Administer and maintain internal systems software.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of operating systems and application software to deliver a high level of support.
- Conduct general preventative maintenance and repairs on computers, laptops, printers, and other authorized peripheral devices.
- Perform remedial repairs on computers, laptops, printers, and other authorized peripheral devices.
- Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot printers, computer hardware, and other peripheral devices.
- Troubleshoot network performance and wireless connectivity issues.
- Provide support for MACOS systems.
- Manage user account administration, including account creation and password resets in Active Directory.
- Assist with the management of software licenses, hardware, and other IT supplies.
- Encourage responsible usage and care of company equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Success:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of PCs and desktop hardware.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated individual with a strong service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude.
Familiarity with the Following:
- Microsoft products including Windows operating systems, Microsoft Server, Office Suite, and Office 365.
- Networking concepts and related services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewall, WAN).
- Network switches (Cisco).
- Administration of Microsoft Active Directory.
- Virtualization technologies (VMWare).
- HP/Dell server management.
- VPN and antivirus solutions.
- Macrium Reflect and LogMeIn Rescue software.
- PRTG and PDQ tools.
- Cisco Meraki.
- Familiarity with MAC OS, Linux OS, and NetApp storage devices is preferred.
- Experience with BARCO and Poly video conferencing hardware is a plus.
- Knowledge of Trend antivirus solutions is desirable.
- Experience with enterprise backup software (Unitrends) is a plus.
- Exceptional software and hardware troubleshooting abilities with a passion for finding effective solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
