Emergency Medicine Physician for Trauma Medical Director Position in North Houston

**Job Summary**
Memorial Hermann Healthcare System is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to serve as the Trauma Medical Director at one of our hospitals located in North Houston. As a key member of our Emergency Medicine team, the successful candidate will be responsible for promoting high standards of practice and ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Trauma Policies and Protocols: The Trauma Medical Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining trauma policies and protocols that promote high standards of practice and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.
- Collaborate with Trauma Program Coordinator: The Trauma Medical Director will work closely with the Trauma Program Coordinator to establish trauma program goals and objectives that align with the hospital's overall mission and vision.
- Implement Trauma Program Policies and Procedures: The Trauma Medical Director will be responsible for implementing all trauma program policies and procedures as they pertain to patient care.
- Lead Trauma Program Development: The Trauma Medical Director will lead efforts to develop and maintain a trauma center that meets the highest standards of care.
- Promote a Collaborative Working Environment: The Trauma Medical Director will promote a cooperative and collaborative working environment among the clinical disciplines involved in trauma care.
- Establish Physician Case Management Process: The Trauma Medical Director will establish a physician case management process that fosters cost-effective, high-quality patient care.
- Determine and Implement PI Activities: The Trauma Medical Director will determine and implement performance improvement activities that are appropriate to the trauma program.
- Current Certification in ATLS: The Trauma Medical Director must be currently certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
- Other Administrative Services: The Trauma Medical Director will provide other administrative services as requested by leadership.
Requirements:
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine or Board eligibility
- Current certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical disciplines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
