The Residence Hall Director at Sam Houston State is responsible for the overall operation of residence halls and the daily supervision of resident advisors.   • Supervise and train resident advisors to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent support to residents
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe and respectful living environment
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with university policies and regulations
  • Provide guidance and support to residents on academic and personal issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. education, management, human resources)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in residence life or a related field
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
