Position Summary: We are seeking a talented and driven SMT Engineering Specialist to enhance our manufacturing capabilities. This role is essential for the development and execution of processes, tools, and documentation necessary for the efficient production of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement tooling and processes for PCBAs.
  • Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Configure Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings for PCBAs in line with product standards and internal protocols.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of stencil design, solder paste properties, stencil printing, pick and place, and solder reflow techniques.
  • Identify root causes of PCBA defects and initiate corrective actions.
  • Continuously assess assembly operations for accuracy and optimization of manufacturing methods.
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives for electronic assemblies.
  • Procure necessary equipment and tools for new processes.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT).
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong expertise in SMT processes and development, with a proven track record of enhancing process yield and quality.
  • Proficient in programming and troubleshooting SMT equipment, including placement machinery and inspection systems.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline is preferred.
