About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at RightWorks Staffing. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for preparing structural and bridge construction plans for State and Municipally Owned structures under the supervision of a lead engineer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement structural design plans and construction documents for bridge and structural projects
  • Conduct engineering computations to support the development of detailed plans and construction documents
  • Ensure adherence to quality control and quality assurance procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to effectively communicate and coordinate project plans
  • Perform site visits to collect data and conduct inspections
  • Perform load ratings on bridges and other structures

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one
  • 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in bridge construction
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and/or other design software
  • Experience with MIDAS Civil, AASHTOWare Brr, and/or Csi Bridge
  • Familiarity with Bentley OpenBridge Modeler and/or CTDOT Connect Digital Design Environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
