Key Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree is advantageous
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred
  • Understanding of laboratory operations along with associated policies and procedures is beneficial
  • Proficient computer skills with a solid grasp of Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization capabilities
  • Robust critical thinking skills with the capacity to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role

In this role, you will thrive in a dynamic, customer-centric, and challenging atmosphere, contributing to our mission of 'Improving Health, Improving Lives'.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2 PM to 11 PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the department
  • Assist in the preparation of laboratory specimens for testing and analysis
  • Directly supervise, train, and mentor non-technical staff
  • Monitor daily workflow, ensure adequate coverage, and maintain proper staffing levels
  • Investigate and resolve production discrepancies while promoting continuous improvement
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and maintain necessary records
  • Provide coaching and constructive feedback to team members for their development
  • Implement and manage policies and procedures
  • Handle payroll, personnel documentation, and other administrative responsibilities
