Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative (also known as a Specification Builder). The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with sales, production, accounting, and external suppliers to address packaging needs, quotes, and orders.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent mathematical abilities, and obsessive attention to detail. They will also possess stellar communication skills, integrity, and accountability.

Salary and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, an employer-sponsored Health Savings Account (HSA), and a 401(k) plan with employer match.

We also offer paid vacation and sick time, a quarterly attendance bonus, biannual production bonus, onsite training and opportunities for advancement, and manufacturing training programs through the Council of Industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Craft detailed Specs based on feedback from the sales and customer
  • Generate accurate quotes for customers, considering package usage & type, dimensions, production method, and time to produce
  • Deliver formal quotes to customers and sales reps via email
  • Process customer purchase orders with precision
  • Maintain customer accounts, including shipping locations and special requirements
  • Conduct thorough reviews of your work and that of your peers to ensure accuracy

About You

As a key member of our team, you will possess the following qualifications:

  • Ideal experience in business-to-business, customer service, Sales Support or spec building
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent mathematical abilities, including working with fractions and measurements
  • Obsessive attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement
  • Stellar communication skills, integrity, and accountability
  • Familiarity with resource planning software is a plus
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Comfortable working with paper filing systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)
