POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Electric Vehicle Charging Technology will hold a pivotal leadership position, spearheading the advancement of ChargeTronix's innovative electric vehicle (EV) charging technologies and supporting systems.

This role entails overseeing the strategic vision, innovation, and implementation of our EV charging technology initiatives.

The successful candidate will manage a team dedicated to delivering scalable, reliable, and user-friendly charging solutions tailored to the needs of station operators (CPOs), electric vehicle owners, commercial fleets, and other stakeholders.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Formulate and communicate the long-term vision and strategy for the company's EV charging technology portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals and market dynamics.
  • Drive ongoing innovation in EV charging technology, encompassing hardware, software, and network infrastructure, to improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and technology partners in the design, development, and testing of new EV charging products and features, from initial concept through to market launch.
  • Establish and uphold stringent quality standards and testing protocols to guarantee the reliability, safety, and compliance of EV charging solutions with industry regulations.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with technology vendors, utilities, automakers, and other stakeholders to accelerate the deployment of EV charging infrastructure.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to uncover emerging trends, customer requirements, and competitive forces within the EV charging technology sector.
  • Oversee the planning, budgeting, and execution of EV charging technology projects, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Recruit, mentor, and nurture a high-performing team of engineers, designers, and project managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, customers, regulatory bodies, and industry associations, to advocate for policies and initiatives that support the growth of EV charging technology.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology development, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and cybersecurity, safeguarding company assets and reputation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant leadership experience.
  • Experience in building, scaling, and organizing teams.
  • Preferred experience in at least two of the following areas: managing an EV Charging Network, supporting EV Charging Infrastructure, Fleet & Logistics, and Medium-Heavy Duty Trucking.
  • Managerial orientation with a focus on leadership, system management, and team organization.
  • Service-oriented mindset with a priority on enhancing customer experience as a competitive advantage.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of EV charging systems, power electronics, energy storage, charging protocols, OCPP communication protocols, safety standards, and related technologies.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities, capable of translating market insights into actionable plans.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including vision, integrity, resilience, and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Job Type: Full-time, Exempt
Compensation: $166,000 - $196,112.00
