Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, security, and quality standards, including Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex challenges and spearhead projects that enhance technological capabilities.
  • Analyze internal and external technological trends and propose best practices to the organization.
  • Evaluate, design, and implement a broad spectrum of new technologies with significant complexity.
  • Identify and acquire advanced equipment and technology that meet project needs.
  • Create and review essential documentation such as protocols, reports, and specifications.
  • Plan and execute engineering projects that address unique or high-stakes challenges impacting major programs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements and complexity.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technicians, fostering professional growth.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders across various business units, deploying expertise as needed.
  • Champion quality within the engineering discipline, ensuring adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related technical field; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in engineering or technical roles, recognized as a subject matter expert.
  • Candidates lacking formal education may qualify with 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong foundation in technical problem-solving, with training in methodologies such as Six Sigma, 8D, and project management.
  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues, delivering impactful results.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of guiding team activities and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to all organizational levels.
  • Maintain composure in a dynamic production environment, demonstrating a positive and proactive attitude.
