Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, security, and quality standards, including Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex challenges and lead initiatives to enhance technological capabilities.
  • Analyze and interpret industry trends and propose best practices to the organization.
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement a diverse range of new technologies with significant complexity.
  • Identify and acquire new equipment and technology as necessary.
  • Create essential documentation such as protocols, reports, and specifications, while reviewing the work of peers.
  • Plan and execute engineering projects focused on unique or high-profile challenges that impact major programs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams on projects with moderate resource requirements and influence others to achieve objectives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technicians, modeling professional behaviors.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders across various business units, potentially requiring occasional travel.
  • Promote a culture of quality within the engineering discipline, ensuring adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:

Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related technical field; a Master's Degree or Doctorate is preferred.
  • Recognized as a subject matter expert with over 7 years of progressive experience in engineering roles.
  • Candidates lacking formal education may qualify with 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong foundation in technical problem-solving, with training in methodologies such as 6-Sigma, 8D, RCA, and PMP.
  • Proven ability to analyze and develop solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to coach less experienced associates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Maintain composure in a dynamic production environment.
  • Possess a positive attitude and a commitment to excellence.
