Overview:


As a Manufacturing Process Specialist at Alliance Laundry System, you will play a crucial role in overseeing engineering aspects related to the planning, management, and maintenance of production techniques, finishing operations, and machinery.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues across various engineering disciplines, as well as teams in production, quality assurance, procurement, planning, and maintenance.

Your projects will focus on enhancing workplace safety, improving product quality, streamlining processes, and positively influencing the company's financial performance.


Responsibilities:
Analyze equipment, processes, operations, and procedures to pinpoint opportunities for enhancements in safety, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

Implement modifications and update operational standards.

Assess vendor proposals for new equipment acquisitions.

Select and apply appropriate manufacturing processes while utilizing modern organizational principles to produce goods at competitive costs.

Identify and refine existing and new manufacturing processes through continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure machinery operates at optimal conditions.

Conduct Capability Studies and perform Time Studies.

Engage in Process Development, which may include creating Visual Work Instructions.

Provide production support and troubleshoot process issues.

Focus on cost reduction strategies (scrap, rework, cycle time, etc.).

Specify necessary tools, jigs, and fixtures.

Coordinate projects and address daily troubleshooting needs.

Participate in Kaizen events to foster continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
2-4 years of engineering project experience in a metal manufacturing or finishing setting is preferred.

Familiarity with Lean manufacturing techniques, capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis is advantageous.

Ability to take on a project leadership role and thrive in a dynamic continuous improvement environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Capability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines is necessary.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess an understanding of complex process interactions.

Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office, is required.

Experience with Creo and AutoCAD is a significant plus.
