POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Accounting Specialist will be tasked with ensuring the precision of entries to ledger accounts and reconciling subsidiary ledger accounts with the general ledger. You will assist in maintaining financial documentation and ensuring that financial transactions are accurately recorded. Key Responsibilities:
Leverage your proficiency in QuickBooks to effectively manage and maintain our financial records with accuracy and efficiency.
Handle high-volume accounting tasks seamlessly, showcasing your ability to perform under pressure while maintaining precision and attention to detail.
Collaborate within our cohesive team, sharing insights and ideas while also demonstrating the ability to take initiative and work independently on specific assignments.
Adopt an "all-hands-on-deck" approach, assisting in various accounting functions as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
Record and process journal entries to guarantee all business transactions are documented.
Update accounts receivable and generate invoices.
Manage accounts payable and process payments.
Conduct monthly reconciliations of credit card and bank accounts.
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports and reconciliations.
Support senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
Assist in gathering information for external auditors during the annual audit.
Help maintain the annual budget and identify variances.
Act as a key resource for the team, proactively seeking answers to questions, taking initiative, and utilizing a network of resources to resolve issues.
Be available occasionally to manage after-hours time-sensitive tasks.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent professional experience, along with knowledge of bookkeeping and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role with a minimum of 4+ years of experience.
Proven expertise with QuickBooks is essential, with a preference for familiarity with Netsuite or Intacct.
Previous experience in a high-volume accounting environment, preferably within the aviation or related sectors, is highly desirable.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
Strong team player with excellent communication skills, ready to collaborate with colleagues across various departments.
Proven capability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Disclaimer: The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000 per year. When determining a job offer, we consider several factors, including years of relevant work experience, skills and qualifications, education level, and certifications/licenses.
