Position Overview

We are looking for a driven and organized Account Executive for Sales who is passionate about achieving sales goals and fostering strong client relationships. Our company proudly serves clients in the JanSan, Foodservice, and Industrial Packaging sectors, providing the ideal products and solutions to enhance their operational success.

Note: This role necessitates regular travel across the Northern and Central Jersey Market and adjacent areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market and promote the complete range of products available through our company to potential clients within your designated geographic area.
  • Organize productive workdays, typically starting at customer locations around 8:30 AM and concluding at approximately 5:00 PM or when all customer interactions and necessary documentation are finalized.
  • Achieve or surpass sales and account development targets set by the sales management team.
  • Cultivate and enhance relationships with existing clients by introducing additional products, particularly focusing on chemicals and plastic trash can liners.
  • Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and market strategies, including insights into relevant manufacturers and distributor activities.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our company's entire product portfolio.
  • Timely submission of all required reports and documentation in a clear and organized manner.
  • Keep customer records updated within our CRM system (WPCRM).
  • Exercise sound business judgment regarding pricing, initial product placements, and exchanges.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key contacts at all customer locations.
  • Become proficient with essential sales tools, including CRM, SETVi, SupplySavant (Company intranet), and virtual meeting platforms like TEAMs/Zoom.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, current events, and best practices through various media channels.
  • Respond to all customer and office inquiries within the same business day they are received.
  • Meet or exceed previous year’s sales targets as established at the beginning of each calendar year.
  • Participate in training sessions with new Account Managers if requested.
  • Maintain a collaborative and effective working relationship with internal teams.
  • Address any open credit issues promptly to assist the Accounts Receivable team.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A proven history of at least 3 years of successful sales experience in the janitorial supply, foodservice supply, or packaging supply distribution sectors.
  • A solid grasp of sales strategies, distribution channels, and market dynamics relevant to our industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • A strategic mindset with the capability to analyze data, recognize trends, and make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
