Key Responsibilities

  • Verify site readiness for installation requirements and infrastructure, conducting a thorough inventory of equipment ready for installation. Report any issues to the internal project team and ensure follow-up for resolution.
  • Oversee the installation of surgical light suspension systems, surgical booms, video integration systems, and associated cabling, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, as well as state and international regulations.
  • Program, test, and inspect all video integration sources according to design specifications while adhering to quality and safety protocols.
  • Conduct functional and quality checks on all installable equipment, documenting findings appropriately before project sign-off.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures, performing repairs in line with established quality guidelines. Test equipment to confirm proper functionality and quality output.
  • Maintain accurate records of installation activities and equipment.
  • Complete daily update reports and manage administrative tasks promptly and accurately, providing project updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Interpret and implement complex wiring diagrams and CAD drawings, understanding the infrastructure, electrical, and network requirements of the equipment.
  • Learn and comprehend basic Internet Protocol (IP) and computer networking requirements related to Stryker's integration products.
  • Ensure consistent installation practices across various locations to maintain serviceability.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements based on job locations, managing your schedule to ensure timely arrival and completion of installation tasks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders, providing updates and basic operational training to clients as necessary.
  • Manage and track inventory of assigned tools and equipment.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers, providing clear and timely updates on project status.
  • Foster strong relationships with business partners to deliver exceptional customer service, sharing insights and feedback to enhance business processes.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and standards as dictated by customer facilities and Stryker.
  • Complete training to ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during job execution.
  • Promote the importance of safe work practices.

Physical Requirements

  • Heavy work: Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
  • Capable of using equipment such as ladders, chain hoists, material lifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
  • Near visual acuity, color vision, mobility, bending, standing, stooping, and finger dexterity are required.
  • Effective communication skills are essential.
  • Must maintain a valid Driver's License and operate a motor vehicle safely.

Required Skills/Experience

  • 0 – 2 years of relevant technical experience (telecom, video/audio system installation, electrical/construction, medical device).
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
