Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure site readiness by confirming pre-installation requirements and infrastructure, while conducting a thorough inventory of installable equipment. Address any issues with the internal project team for resolution.
  • Oversee the installation of surgical light suspension systems, surgical booms, video integration systems, and associated cabling, adhering to quality and safety standards as well as state, industry, and international regulations.
  • Program, test, and inspect all video integration sources in accordance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct functional and quality checks on installable equipment, documenting findings appropriately before project sign-off.
  • Troubleshoot and identify root causes of equipment failures, performing diagnoses and repairs according to established quality guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment installation and related activities.
  • Provide timely updates and reports to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Interpret and install equipment based on complex wire diagrams and CAD drawings, while understanding the infrastructure, electrical, and network requirements.
  • Learn and apply basic Internet Protocol (IP) and computer networking principles related to Stryker integration products.
  • Ensure consistent installation practices across various locations for serviceability.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements based on job locations and manage daily schedules for timely completion of installation tasks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders, providing updates and operational training to customers as necessary.
  • Manage inventory of assigned tools and equipment, ensuring accurate records of installation tasks.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers, providing clear updates on project progress.
  • Foster strong relationships with business partners to deliver exceptional customer service experiences.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and standards as dictated by customer facilities and Stryker.
  • Complete training to ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during job execution.
  • Promote the importance of safe work practices.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
  • Proficient in using equipment such as ladders, chain hoists, material lifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Capable of climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
  • Near visual acuity and good mobility are required.
  • Effective communication skills are essential.
  • Must maintain a valid Driver's License and operate a motor vehicle safely.

Mental Requirements

  • Demonstrate versatility and flexibility in adapting to changing priorities.

Skills/Experience Required

  • 0 – 2 years of relevant technical experience (telecom, video/audio system installation, electrical/construction, medical device).
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
