Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Support Specialist to join our team at UBE Machinery Inc. as a Technical Service Engineer. This role will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our customers, ensuring the smooth operation of our Injection Mold, Aluminum Extrusion, and Die Cast machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Commissioning
    • Supervise the installation of new machines or new parts, ensuring that they are properly set up and configured.
    • Complete final acceptance testing of new machines to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Training and Support
    • Train customers and service technicians on the operation and maintenance of our machines.
    • Provide technical support and assistance to customers via phone and/or on-site visits.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair
    • Troubleshoot and repair customer machine problems in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Utilize technical and precision measurement testing equipment to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Complete technical reports in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to document machine performance and any issues encountered.
Work Environment

This role will operate in a professional office environment and a manufacturing environment. In the office environment, you will work with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. In the manufacturing environment, you will be exposed to heavy machinery, moving mechanical parts, and occasional risk of electrical shock and mechanical vibration. You will be expected to remain vigilant and take responsibility for your own safety, as well as ensuring that any employees entering specific work areas wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Associate's Degree or two to three years related experience and/or training, or combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills
    • Working knowledge of hydraulics, practical electrical engineering, and general knowledge of mechanical theory.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Travel and Work Authorization
    • Travel schedule varies; 50%– 75% travel required.
    • May need to travel customer sites to help with the installation, including rigging and assembly of machines as well as provide on-site training to customers.
