About Us

The Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MNCASA) is dedicated to leading and equipping sexual assault programs and allies in the fight against sexual violence. Our mission is to foster a comprehensive and socially just response for all victims and survivors. We collaborate with various stakeholders, including sexual assault programs, advocates, law enforcement, and legal professionals, to enhance victim-centered approaches and improve the effectiveness of the criminal justice system. Our proactive prevention initiatives aim to avert harm before it occurs, and we engage with policymakers to advocate for laws and programs that combat sexual violence. MNCASA offers:

  1. Support for Victims and Survivors by empowering partner programs and professionals to provide exceptional advocacy and assistance.
  2. Prevention Initiatives by enhancing the capabilities of partner organizations to create and execute impactful community-level prevention strategies.
  3. Advocacy for Policy Changes through education and engagement in public policy.
  4. Transformative Systems Change by building capacity within medical, legal, social service, and judicial systems to adopt a coordinated and victim-focused response.

Compensation & Benefits

$115,000 - $125,000 annual salary range; generous paid time off (PTO) policy; 9 paid holidays plus a paid year-end holiday break; paid volunteer time; competitive health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; health savings and flexible spending accounts; agency-sponsored retirement savings plan with immediate vesting and 4% employer match.

A Day in the Life...

As the Executive Director of MNCASA, you will have the opportunity to steer the organization’s strategic vision, oversee its operations, and advocate for systemic reforms. This role requires close collaboration with the Board of Directors, staff, members, and community partners to cultivate a cooperative environment and ensure the effective delivery of programs and services. Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading strategic planning and execution to fulfill MNCASA's mission and vision.
  • Advocating for policy advancements and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Managing financial operations, including budgeting and resource distribution.
  • Diversifying funding sources, with an emphasis on philanthropic and earned revenue.
  • Engaging with community partners, donors, and policymakers.
  • Ensuring the development and implementation of impactful programs and services.
  • Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization and its initiatives.
  • Supervising the Directors Team and coordinating with the Board of Directors.
  • Representing MNCASA to external stakeholders and fulfilling assigned responsibilities.
Your Profile
  • You have prior experience as an Executive Director or in a comparable leadership position within a nonprofit organization.
  • You have experience in managing, mentoring, and developing staff.
  • You demonstrate a strong commitment to eradicating sexual violence.
  • You are adept in strategic planning and organizational leadership.
  • You possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.
  • You have experience in financial management, fundraising, and community outreach.
  • You have a profound understanding of racial equity and experience working with diverse communities.
  • You hold a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.
