The Chief Operations Officer is accountable for the comprehensive performance of all organizational functions under their management.
This position entails the execution of Company Policies and Procedures, Strategic Planning, and Quality Assurance Initiatives.
The Chief Operations Officer will enhance financial outcomes through exceptional service delivery acknowledged by both external and internal stakeholders, while also providing leadership support and resources to operations to achieve set objectives.
Furthermore, the Chief Operations Officer serves as a liaison with governmental authorities and provider associations, functioning as a bridge between operations and the Executive Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess operational performance and support requirements with Executive Management.
- Examine Operations and Branch Staff for alignment with and promotion of BrightSpring's vision, mission, and values.
- Lead all supervised operations to optimize revenue and EBITDA.
- Review and implement corrective action plans to enhance the financial performance of operations that are not meeting financial benchmarks.
- Contribute to the formulation of annual budgets and operational strategies.
- Provide leadership support and resources to operations to meet established objectives.
- Develop business opportunities and increase sales to meet or exceed targets.
- Evaluate Sales Plans and collaborate with the Corporate Sales Team on implementation strategies.
- Identify potential growth opportunities through service expansion.
- Coordinate staff training on systems, standard processes, company policies, and procedures.
- Offer leadership support and guidance to operations facing performance challenges and/or administrative vacancies.
- Establish relationships and act as a liaison between operations and the Executive Leadership Team.
- Assess processes and performance metrics.
- Effectively lead and allocate the resources of the Core Team (QAM, HRS, etc.) as necessary to support operations.
- Assist with process implementation aimed at improving performance objectives.
- Provide support and oversight to operations with Branch Manager vacancies.
Ensure that each service site develops and fully executes a targeted recruitment and retention strategy in collaboration with HR and Talent Acquisition.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Business, or a related discipline; Master's Degree preferred.
- Three to five years of progressively responsible experience demonstrating the ability to effectively manage operations, systems, processes, and personnel.
- Three or more years of supervisory experience with at least five direct reports.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and public speaking abilities.
- Experience in Home Care or a related healthcare sector is preferred.
- Proficiency in technology and all Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with Federal, State, and local regulations pertinent to the business area under their oversight.
- Knowledge or prior experience working in an office environment with computers, phones, and other related tasks.
- Willingness to travel 25-50% or as necessary.
