POSITION SUMMARY

This role encompasses a range of advanced accounting responsibilities, including the preparation, maintenance, analysis, verification, and reconciliation of intricate financial transactions, statements, records, and reports. The incumbent will also ensure the precision of ledgers and financial systems while aiding in the formulation of designated budgets, annual audits, and year-end closures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare monthly financial forecasts for cash distributions, tax obligations, and investment performance
  • Coordinate the preparation of quarterly real estate schedules and personal financial statements for stakeholders
  • Deliver financial reports in alignment with lender and equity requirements
  • Oversee daily operations of family office accounting functions, including distribution reviews, cash analysis, treasury management, and bookkeeping for all related entities and trusts
  • Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports pertinent to related entities and trusts
  • Supervise the annual reporting process for numerous related entities, including state filings, tax returns, and other reports required by various agencies
  • Compile monthly treasury reports to enhance visibility into global deposit relationships with financial institutions
  • Guide accounting and clerical staff through learning activities, coaching, and development opportunities
  • Resolve financial discrepancies by gathering and analyzing account information
  • Ensure financial security by adhering to internal controls
  • Create process narratives and reporting checklists related to all financial reporting, family office functions, and treasury management operations
  • Enhance job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities, reading professional literature, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required
  • CPA certification is preferred, but not mandatory
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience; 1-2 years of supervisory experience
