AJ Operations serves as the internal management entity for AJ Capital Partners, overseeing a diverse portfolio that includes hospitality, office, residential, entertainment, and retail properties. Our mission is to enhance operational performance and guest satisfaction by integrating branding, real estate, and property management strategies. Our portfolio features notable projects such as Chief's, a collaborative entertainment venue, and Memoir Residential, a multifamily housing initiative.


ROLE SUMMARY

The Yardi and Lease Management Specialist will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our commercial and retail portfolio, alongside overseeing Yardi administration for multiple residential communities. Key responsibilities include performing accounting tasks, generating financial reports, processing payments, and utilizing Yardi for comprehensive financial tracking and reporting.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support throughout the property financial cycle, focusing on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, annual budgeting, and Yardi management.
  • Analyze and interpret lease agreements, ensuring precise lease accounting for financial documentation.
  • Maintain an organized database of lease details, including tenant information and lease modifications.
  • Adjust tenant billing as necessary and ensure accurate posting to tenant accounts.
  • Collaborate with leasing and property management teams to gather essential documentation.
  • Respond to inquiries from various internal departments regarding tenant and property information.
  • Assist in the financial oversight of properties, including managing accounts receivable and payable.
  • Support operational tasks such as tenant transitions and utility management.
  • Foster positive relationships with tenants and vendors.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing events and promotions.
  • Act as a backup manager for on-site events and tenant programming.
  • Utilize Yardi effectively, ensuring data integrity through accurate entry and regular updates.
  • Support the onboarding process for new tenants and maintain strong relationships with existing tenants.
  • Contribute to the development of tenant resources and communication materials.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance requirements for tenants and vendors.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate, property management, or accounting.
  • Proficient in Yardi and its various modules.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills with stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to interpret standard to moderately complex documents.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in negotiating vendor agreements and commercial leases.
  • Background in rapidly growing organizations or new operational setups.
  • Solid understanding of finance and operational processes.
