ROLE SUMMARY

The Yardi and Lease Management Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of AJCP's commercial and retail portfolio. This position will also oversee Yardi administration for multiple multifamily communities, engaging in various accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities. Key tasks include preparing financial reports, processing invoices, collecting payments, and performing account reconciliations, all while utilizing Yardi for comprehensive financial tracking and reporting.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support throughout the property financial cycle, focusing on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, budget preparation, and financial reporting.
  • Analyze and interpret lease agreements, ensuring accurate lease accounting for financial statements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of lease information, including tenant details and lease modifications.
  • Review tenant billing adjustments and manage tenant accounts effectively.
  • Collaborate with leasing and property management teams to secure necessary documentation.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal departments regarding tenant and property information.
  • Assist in the fiscal management of properties, including operating expense control and budget preparation.
  • Support operational issues such as tenant transitions and utility management.
  • Foster positive relationships with tenants and vendors.
  • Assist in marketing initiatives and event management.
  • Operate Yardi efficiently, ensuring data integrity through accurate transaction processing.
  • Facilitate tenant onboarding and maintain strong relationships with tenants.
  • Help develop tenant resources, including handbooks and newsletters.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance requirements for tenants and vendors.
  • Identify operational improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate, property management, or accounting.
  • Proficient in Yardi and its various modules.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills with tenants and internal teams.
  • Customer service-oriented with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to interpret complex documents.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in vendor agreement analysis and lease negotiations.
  • Background in rapidly growing organizations.
  • Knowledge of finance and operational strategies.
