Catering Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

The Catering Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of all onboard catering products and services. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including third-party vendors, airport personnel, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage inventory and track flights to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Coordinate shipments and ensure compliance with service standards
  • Build and maintain relationships with caterers and third-party vendors
  • Oversee the management and delivery of ice and essential tarmac supplies
  • Review crew reports and address any issues regarding catering services
  • Monitor flight reroutes, delays, and tail swaps to adjust catering services accordingly
  • Maintain inventory control of catering equipment and supplies
  • Conduct catering audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards
  • Manage and distribute promotional materials, catering supplies, and tarmac orders
  • Monitor operational performance and key metrics to drive data-driven decisions
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 1-3 years experience in Catering Operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication/presentations skills
  • Results-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
  • Team player with ability to interface with all levels of staff
