Airport Ground Transportation Coordinator

Job Summary:

SP+ is seeking a skilled Airport Ground Transportation Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of ground transportation services at the airport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist passengers in navigating through the airport, providing accurate information and directions.
  • Direct taxicabs and luxury limousines to passengers, ensuring a sufficient number are available at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, co-workers, and supervisors, addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Write factual reports on any deviations from normal operations, maintaining accurate records and logs.
  • Order luxury limousines as needed, logging information on limo logs.
  • Identify and report any safety issues immediately to supervisors, prioritizing the safety of passengers and staff.
  • Clean and maintain the surrounding work area, including glass cleaning and sweeping of trash, as well as the break room.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire.
  • Knowledge of the metro area is desirable.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Prior airport experience is preferred.
  • Must have excellent attendance and arrive on time when scheduled, with access to reliable transportation.

Availability to Work: Special shift requirements may vary depending on location's hiring needs. Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends may be required.

Language Skills: Must be able to read and write English exceptionally well, with the ability to communicate effectively with passengers, drivers, and co-workers on socio-economical levels.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, making sound judgments and educating others about policy/procedures.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to carry out assigned tasks and duties completely and effectively, perform assigned duties with minimal supervision, and demonstrate fair and impartial judgment.

Materials and Equipment Directly Used in Role: Two-way radios, various report forms, information logs, brochures, pens, and pencils.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk, and listen. Employees are regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, including snow storms and extreme heat, and work in and around potentially dangerous traffic situations.
