Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Operations Specialist to join our team at OneWater. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences by ensuring the smooth operation of our boats. Your expertise in marine operations will be essential in coordinating the activities of our customers and team members engaged in launching, retrieving, and servicing boats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project a professional and knowledgeable image to all customers.
  • Deliver boats to customer locations, boat ramps, boat shows, or other as needed.
  • Possess adequate product knowledge to answer customer questions.
  • Properly explain features and provide thorough orientation to customers upon delivery.
  • Demonstrate additional boating merchandise, such as aftermarket electronics and navigational equipment.
  • Coordinate with the team to establish delivery dates to customers and arrange delivery of boats to specified locations.
  • Service boats with fuel and assist in casting off and tying up boats.
  • Perform minor engine and systems repairs and adjustments as needed.
  • Load and unload fishing, ski, and propulsion equipment from boats.
  • Assist in moving boats from various locations, marinas, boat shows, etc.
  • Conduct periodic training classes to help reinforce our customers' boating passion.
  • Demonstrate boats on the water, at off-site events, and in the showroom as needed.
  • Professionally support customer events, including but not limited to Slipaways, Rendezvous, etc.
  • Demonstrate advanced seamanship skills.
  • Train the team on boat handling and safety, as needed.
  • Inspect company-owned vessels in the water and keep a log of hours and fuel levels.
  • Complete minor preventive maintenance on company-owned boats on display in the water, including but not limited to cleaning of strainers, starting vessels, and checking all systems, topping off water in batteries.
  • Assist service/customer with minor service issues to determine if operator error or product defect.
Requirements
  • MUST HAVE CAPTAIN'S LICENSE
  • MUST BE FAMILIAR WITH THE OPERATION OF VOLVO PENTA IPS STEERING SYSTEMS
