Job Summary

SP Plus Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Airport Ground Transportation Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our airport operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of passengers through the airport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist passengers at the taxi curbside, providing accurate information and directions as needed.
  • Direct passengers to the appropriate taxi or limousine service.
  • Ensure a sufficient number of taxicabs are available for traveling passengers and dispatch them to various loading points at the terminal.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, coworkers, and supervisors to address any concerns or issues.
  • Write factual reports regarding any deviations from normal operations.
  • Order luxury limousines from Ground Transportation as needed and log information on limo logs.
  • Identify and report any safety issues immediately to the supervisor.
  • Clean and maintain the surrounding work area, including glass cleaning and sweeping of trash.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire.
  • Knowledge of the metro area is desirable.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Prior airport experience is preferred.
  • Must have excellent attendance and arrive on time when scheduled, with access to reliable transportation.

Availability to Work: Special shift requirements may vary depending on the location's hiring needs. Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends may be required.

License Requirement: A valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record is required if the individual is expected to drive a company vehicle or drive on company business.

Language Skills: Must be able to read and write English exceptionally well, with the ability to communicate effectively with passengers, drivers, and coworkers on socio-economic levels.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, with the ability to make sound judgments and educate others about policy/procedures.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to carry out assigned tasks and duties completely and effectively, with the ability to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision and demonstrate fair and impartial judgment.

Materials and Equipment Directly Used in Role: Two-way radios, various report forms, information logs, brochures, pens, and pencils.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk, and listen. Employees are regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, including snowstorms and extreme heat. This position is 100% outside work, and employees work in and around potentially dangerous traffic situations, requiring safety consciousness at all times.
