Position Summary

The Concessions Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing the experience of events at our venues by supporting all aspects of organizing and operating concession stands. This position assists the part-time concessions staff and contributes to the overall success of our events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor concession equipment and supplies to ensure optimal performance and maintenance needs.
  • Ensure equipment is cleaned and sanitized as needed to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Food Services to schedule concession staff and coordinate their activities.
  • Train and maintain regular communication with concession staff to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain written processes for concession staff to follow when operating concession stands.
  • Communicate regularly with Events Managers to coordinate concession stand schedules and cash handling procedures.
  • Submit invoices and receipts to the Accounting department in a timely manner.
  • Meet with the Director of Food Services to review concession operations and discuss areas for improvement.
  • Work with the state food inspector to ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Order and receive products (food, beverages, and supplies) from approved vendors.
  • Organize product delivery and maintain an inventory of concession supplies.
  • Work with the Director of Food Services to determine menus and pricing to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare menus for printing and electronic display.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Food Services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in concessions or a related field.
  • Ability to lift 30-40 pounds.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities.
