Now Hiring Full-time Nutritional Care Assistants

Nutritional Care Assistants collaborate closely with Registered Dietitians to improve the overall health and well-being of residents. This role involves gathering health information and working with other healthcare professionals to implement tailored nutritional care plans.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Completing and updating nutritional assessments for residents under the guidance of the Registered Dietitian.
  • Conducting resident evaluations to identify individual needs for nutritional services and those at risk of nutritional deficiencies.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement, and assess care plans.
  • Monitoring resident weights to detect significant changes.
  • Performing regular meal observations, reviewing records, and interviewing staff and residents to ensure adequate nutritional intake.
Qualifications:
  • Required: Associate or bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent, or actively pursuing a degree in a healthcare-related field, preferably in nutrition/dietetics, or possess a current Dietary Manager Certificate (CDM) with a Practitioner Certificate in Nutrition Care or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Registered Dietetic Technician.
  • Preferred: Training as a Personal Care Assistant.
