Position Overview:
This role is designated for a Clinical Dietitian within the Nutrition and Food Service sector. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nutritional care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, patients, and their caregivers to ensure optimal dietary management.

Key Responsibilities:
Nutritional Assessment and Care:
Conduct thorough nutrition evaluations using the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) for assigned individuals.

Formulate and execute personalized Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) plans aligned with the patient’s health objectives.

Perform Nutrition Focused Physical Exams (NFPE) to assess malnutrition risk and customize dietary prescriptions based on individual metabolic and physical requirements.

Recognize patients needing nutritional assistance and suggest appropriate support methods, including suitable routes and formulas.

Maintain detailed documentation of nutrition care plans within the patient's medical records, encompassing assessment data, initiated MNT, counseling outcomes, and discharge strategies.


Nutrition Education and Care Coordination:
Evaluate educational needs and provide nutrition counseling for both individuals and groups.

Monitor the achievement of learning objectives by patients and their families, offering follow-up education as necessary.

Assist in the training and supervision of dietetic interns and students, contributing to their learning experiences and performance evaluations.

Operational Functions:
Ensure the completion of nutrition consult management tasks by reviewing assigned consults. Collaborate in the development and revision of patient education resources and clinical documentation.

Participate in onboarding and training new personnel, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.


Quality Improvement and Research:

Engage in Performance Improvement initiatives by developing nutritional care indicators and monitoring outcomes to enhance service quality.

Stay updated on current research in nutrition, applying findings to improve patient care.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Act as the nutrition authority for medical staff, influencing treatment strategies through collaborative meetings and discussions.

Coordinate care across various settings to facilitate seamless transitions and assist in discharge planning for enteral feeding services.


Professional Development:
Continuously enhance clinical knowledge and skills through participation in professional organizations, workshops, and educational programs.

Engage in departmental meetings and collaborative projects to foster professional growth.


Work Schedule:
This position operates on a standard Monday to Friday schedule, with specific holiday and weekend responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and possess the necessary credentials as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD) recognized by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

Experience and education requirements vary based on the grade level, with opportunities for professional advancement based on qualifications.
