Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a DDC/BAS Controls Specialist. This position entails the successful design, initiation, commissioning, and servicing of HVAC Direct Digital Controls projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement building automation systems.
- Analyze and interpret technical plans and drawings for the startup and commissioning of HVAC Direct Digital Controls across mechanical, chilled water, and air systems.
- Utilize essential software tools, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Windows, Visio, QuickBooks, AutoCAD, SiteBuilder, and Eikon.
- Manage and troubleshoot Windows-based operating systems, Ethernet networks, internet-based systems, and HVAC DDC I/O instruments and devices.
- Diagnose and resolve DDC system issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement operational sequences and programming logic into control software.
- Identify and rectify issues in software and electrical installations.
- Adjust and fine-tune control algorithms (PID's) for enhanced system performance.
- Modify and update HVAC DDC system graphics, setpoints, addressing points, and technical drawings.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Manage product and equipment orders using office software tools.
- Collaborate with external system specialists to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or five or more years of relevant experience.
- Intermediate or advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, Windows-based platforms, and Direct Digital Controls.
- Experience with platforms such as Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Distech, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Trane, Delta Controls, Automated Logic, or similar.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
