Key Responsibilities- Exhibit strong leadership and organizational capabilities. Candidates should have a passion for engineering and be adept at troubleshooting systems efficiently.
- Develop, review, update, and modify PLC, Motion, and HMI Code.
- Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Design electrical schematics and panel layouts in compliance with NEC/NFPA 70 and UL508 standards.
- Program using IEC standards such as LD, IL, SFC, and ST.
- Research new components to stay abreast of technological advancements.
- Collaborate with project managers, manufacturing teams, and other engineers to ensure project specifications are met.
- Build relationships with customer-facing organizations, vendors, suppliers, and other professionals to expand networks.
- Resolve supply chain challenges by identifying alternative components when preferred parts are unavailable.
- Analyze existing processes and schedule discussions to explore improvement initiatives.
- Conduct research, perform diagnostics, and troubleshoot equipment.
- Lead development projects by guiding and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Assist Technical Sales managers with platform production projects.
- Address inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide studies and estimates.
- Offer cost-effective solutions to challenges impacting customer products while preserving design integrity.
- Support field service teams in commissioning machinery.
- Collaborate with customers to integrate machinery into their projects.
- Guide assembly teams throughout the manufacturing process.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical controls and programming is required.
- Experience in packaging machinery is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Practical experience with Electrical CAD software.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong motivational skills and ability to multitask.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of calculations related to electrical and pneumatic design for automation mechanisms and equipment.
- Research and select appropriate electrical components for sizing and application.
- Utilize AutoCAD 2D to create working electrical layout drawings, control cabinet designs, and pneumatic layout drawings for production and customer use.
- Assist in cost reduction and quality enhancement of electrical designs for machinery.
- Understand customer electrical specifications and requirements for packaging operations.
- Support technical writers in developing machine documentation.
- Provide programming for standard equipment upgrades and custom packaging machinery.
- Participate in the startup and commissioning of machinery in various facilities.
